Diamond drop earrings are dangling diamond earrings of various designs and lengths that drop or dangle from the earlobes of any ear that has been peirced. Diamond drop earrings use gold wires that hook through the ear and then fasten to themselves by a small gold hook or catch behind the ear, thus allowing the earring to dangle.

Gemstone stud earrings are set with gemstones such as amethyst, blue topaz, garnet, peridot, tuormaline, iolite, jade, pearl, rose quartz, topaz or citrine. Gemstone stud earrings fit into any ear or earlobe that has been peirced. Gemstone stud earrings use a gold stud with a gold post and gold butterfly earring fitting, the gold post goes through the peirced ear and a friction fitting gold butterfly clips on to the gold post behind the ear. Alternatively, a screw on gold fitting may be used.
