Gold hoop and creole earrings in gold and silver, created and
designed in plain gold or silver or with engraved or diamond
cut patterns, some being hollow and some made of solid gold
or silver.
Gold hoop earrings are generally of circular hoop or semi
circular hoop design very similar to a ring or sometimes of
triangular or squared design. Gold hoop earrings use
various methods of fixing but are often made from gold
tubing or solid square gold cross section utilising a thin
tensioned gold wire that fits through a peirced ear and clips
into the hollow end of the tube at the back of the ear, or into a
specially made clip. Aome other gold hoop earring designs are
made of a semi circular design with a gold wire post that fits
through a peirced ear, and uses a stud earrings type of fitting.
Another variation of gold hoop earring is the gold sleeper
earring, which is usually quite small and made of solid gold
wire, often seen with a diamond cut pattern, that uses a hinge
and a clip to fasten it. The small size makes them comfortable
for wearing when sleeping and they are often worn at night to
avoid ear piercings closing up.
